Autism is a developmental disability defined by its symptoms. Characteristics of Autism include impairments in social interactions, impairments in communication and repetitive patterns of behavior. Autism is on the rise and increasing 10-17% each year. Scientific studies indicate that early intervention is the key to effective change. 

Behavior Matters is the local agency in the Anchorage/ Mat-Su area. We currently have 2 BCBA and 1 BCaBA. We also have 3 BCBA interns and 3 BCaBA interns.  At Behavior Matters, each program is developed to help families with loved ones diagnosed with Developmental delays, such as Autism, PPD or Asperger’s Syndrome. The programs are developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analysts and utilizes principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to change behaviors and lives.
